For IPSC Members

 

1) Materials Required for IPSC Members (see Laboratory Coordinator)

--Vision, Goals, and Values (must sign during first semester in lab)

--RA Privacy Agreement (must sign during first semester in lab)

--TA Privacy Agreement (must sign during first semester in lab)

 

2) Current vita required to be submitted to the Laboratory Coordinator each August.

 

3) Suggested thesis timeline

--Complete Experimental Psychology course in first semester

--Prepare thesis and complete formal proposal at the end of the second long semester

--Collect data during the third long semester

--Defend thesis during the fourth long semester 



IPSC Scientists are committed to ethical scientific research conducted according to best practices.


IPSC Rules of Scientific Conduct

-   --All research projects submitted for consideration at national or international conferences will be submitted for review only AFTER data have been collected and analyzed.

    --A single research project may only be presented at ONE national or international conference (e.g., APA, APS, SPSP, SIOP, SWPA).

     --A single research project may only be presented at one regional conference (e.g. OAS, OPS) and Oklahoma Research Day (mandated by RCSA grants).

     --No pilot data may be collected that is not included in an approved IRB application.

     --All steps of data screening must be fully documented.

     --Absolutely no falsification of data or plagiarism of any type.

     --Authorship for each project will be earned according to traditional scientific criteria (e.g., APA).

     --All Informed Consent Forms and data must be stored in the laboratory under the supervision of the Director.

     --All graduate theses are required to have a manipulated independent variable.

     --All RCSA Grant recipients must have fully completed data collection before accepting a subsequent RCSA Grant.
