A behavioral scientist with expertise in social cognition, attitudes, persuasion, stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination, Dr. Mather has served as an expert witness. He has authored over forty peer-reviewed journal articles and four books, including The Analysis of Variance: An Integrated Approach to Experimental Design


He offers services to private clients. He applies the latest behavioral science research to find data-driven solutions for management issues. He utilizes his extensive knowledge of research design and statistics to solve business problems and enhance productivity. 

 

Management Consulting Services

Management consulting services offered include executive coaching and innovation in the areas of leadership, consumer behavior, marketing, employee selection, job analysis, development of performance appraisals, research design and statistical analysis.  


Consulting Experience

Since 1999, Dr. Mather has privately consulted for several professional and collegiate athletic teams, consulted the start-up of several companies, and consulted data analysis for private investors, banks, physicians, health care organizations, and law enforcement agencies. 



He is CEO and Founder of Mather Professional Services, LLC. From 2012-2014, he was the Vice President of Development for the Hancock Consulting Group, where he developed clientele and business strategy, worked on grant development, program evaluation, and Office of Human Research Protections federal compliance. From 1998-2000, he worked in sales at the corporate showcase store for Golf USA, Inc., in Oklahoma City, OK. During his 20-year career in higher education, he served as a tenured full professor and associate dean at a large university, as the first CEO of a start-up academic journal that has been in operation since 2005, and as President of the Oklahoma Academy of Science. He regularly taught courses in statistics, research design, neuroscience, industrial-organizational psychology, and social psychology.
